The events of World War II left Lucy with many memories of her childhood but no mementos. After the war, one of her only surviving relatives provided Lucy with a few pictures of her family, but she does not have a single one of herself as a child.
Her earliest photos of herself, shown here, are from Eckernförde, Germany, where she started recovering from the horrors of the war. The year was 1946 and she was about to turn 20.
Once she settled in Israel, Lucy became an avid photographer and her house is now filled with the wonderful pictures she took of people and places dear to her heart.
